For two kinds of readers: brands that have never manufactured a brush before — and brands that have, and got hurt doing it.

Most factory “services” pages are a list of nouns: OEM, ODM, private label, custom packaging. True, and useless — because they don’t tell you what actually happens after you send the first email, or what protects you when something goes wrong.

So this is the honest version, written for the two kinds of brands that find us most often. The first has never manufactured a brush and wants to know what the process actually involves. The second has manufactured one before — and received bulk that didn’t match the sample, or a quote that grew after committing, or a shipment that arrived late and shedding. If that’s you, nothing on this page will ask you to forget that experience. It’s built around preventing a repeat of it.

First, the one-paragraph version of who’s writing this: Meet Cosmetics is a Guangdong-based makeup brush factory with more than 10 years in the trade, serving beauty brands in over 40 countries, operating under ISO 9001 quality management with BSCI-audited production, FSC-certified packaging options, SGS-tested material batches, and REACH-compliant sourcing. Everything below is what those words look like in practice.

What Working With Us Looks Like, Stage by Stage

Before you spend anything: translation and a free review. Most projects arrive as brand language — “a premium powder brush, similar to X.” Our first job is translating that into a manufacturable specification, and telling you honestly what it will cost and how long it will take — before sampling, before commitment. Send us a brief and we’ll review the budget and spec for free, including telling you when the answer is “you don’t need custom tooling yet.”

Development, at whichever tier fits. From catalog shapes with your branding to fully custom tooling — and the wide middle between them, where most programs actually live. We’ll tell you which tier your goal actually requires, including when the honest answer is the cheaper one.

Sampling, run as a process rather than a ping-pong. A staged sampling process from brief to production lock, with feedback translated into changes and a sealed reference sample both sides hold at the end. You’ll know at every point which stage you’re in and what’s left to decide.

Packaging, developed in parallel. Structure, printing, inserts — plus the considered details that make a brush feel cared for: use and care cards, desiccants, bristle guards. Packaging runs on its own supply chain and clock, so we start it alongside the brush, not after it.

Production, with confirmation discipline. Before the line starts, we close every open variable — spec, artwork, Pantones, cartons, shipping marks — and if a contradiction surfaces mid-run, we pause and ask rather than guess. You will get questions from us. That’s the system working.

Quality control you can’t see in a photo. Reverse-hair screening, pull testing, joint checks, finish inspection — the standards that decide how a brush behaves in month three, held run to run so your reorder matches your original.

Compliance and shipping, handled as production inputs. FDA and MoCRA documentation for the US, Prop 65 and REACH support, barcodes, FBA labeling, carton marks — plus freight planned against your real window: sea, air, or mixed.

After the first order: a program, not a transaction. Reorder forecasting, MOQ planning across SKUs, packaging standardization, and cost planned across a year rather than launch by launch as your line grows.

    If You’ve Been Burned Before

Every failure below is one we’ve heard from brands arriving from another supplier. Each arrives at a telltale point in the product’s life — when a complaint appears is itself a diagnosis — and each has a specific cause — and a specific mechanism that prevents it:

What happened to youWhat it usually meansWhat should have happened
Bulk didn’t match the approved sampleApproval was a photo, not a spec; no sealed referenceA written spec + golden sample the run is checked against
The price grew after you committedThe first quote was built on assumptionsQuestions before quoting, so the number is real
It shipped late, with no warningPackaging or confirmations weren’t on the critical path earlyPackaging in parallel, confirmations closed before the line starts
Brushes shed or felt scratchyScreening and assembly standards were cut where you couldn’t seeThe inspection steps that never show in a photo
The supplier went quiet, then guessed wrongNo confirmation discipline; assumptions instead of questionsA factory that pauses rather than guesses
The reorder felt like a different productNo held standard across runsReproducibility as a specification

If one of these rows is your story, bring us that project — the spec, the sample if you still have it, what went wrong. We’ll tell you what most likely happened, and what we’d do differently. No charge for the diagnosis, and no obligation to act on it.

    What We Don’t Do

The honest edges, so the list above stays believable. We don’t design your brand or your marketing — you know your customer far better than we do, and our recommendations are suggestions, not requirements. We don’t promise the shortest lead time or the lowest quote — we’ll compress everything that’s safe to compress and price the brush you actually described, and we’ll show you where every day and dollar sits. And we don’t proceed on guesses: if something is ambiguous, you’ll hear from us before the line does.

    Where to Start

If you’re new to this: send us the brief — positioning, channel, target price, reference — and we’ll come back with a realistic spec, budget, and calendar before you commit to anything.

If you’ve done this before and it went badly: send us that story instead. The project that disappointed you is the most useful brief we can receive — it tells us exactly which protections matter most for your next one.

    FAQ

What services does Meet Cosmetics provide?

End to end for makeup brushes: translating a brand brief into a manufacturable spec, a free budget and spec review before commitment, development from private label to fully custom tooling, a staged sampling process, custom packaging developed in parallel, production with confirmation discipline, quality control (screening, pull testing, joint and finish inspection), compliance documentation (FDA/MoCRA, Prop 65, REACH) and shipping, and ongoing program support for reorders and multi-SKU planning.

Do you work with first-time beauty brands?

Yes – first-timers are one of the two audiences we serve most. Send a brief with your positioning, channel, target price, and a reference, and we’ll come back with a realistic spec, budget, and calendar before you commit to anything – including telling you when you don’t yet need custom tooling. The review is free.

What if my last makeup brush manufacturer disappointed me?

Bring us that project – the spec, the sample if you still have it, and what went wrong. Whether it was bulk that didn’t match the sample, a quote that grew after committing, a late shipment, or shedding brushes, each failure has a specific cause and a specific prevention. We’ll tell you what most likely happened and what we’d do differently, at no charge and with no obligation.

Do you offer both private label and fully custom brushes?

Both, plus the wide middle between them where most programs actually live – catalog shapes with your branding, per-unit customization of fiber, finish, and logo on a proven shape, or fully custom tooling. We’ll tell you which tier your goal actually requires, including when the honest answer is the less expensive one.

What certifications and standards does your factory hold?

Meet Cosmetics operates under ISO 9001 quality management with BSCI-audited production, offers FSC-certified packaging, uses SGS-tested material batches, and sources to REACH compliance, with FDA/MoCRA and Prop 65 documentation support for brands selling into the US. We serve beauty brands in over 40 countries.
